PSSST! Don't worry about memorizing all of the following aftercare tips! This information can also be found on the back of your rinse card!

Depending on the shade you chose, I will let you know when to rinse after your spray tan.

  • This first rinse is NOT a shower.
  • This is a quick 45-second rinse-off.
  • Do not use soap, do not scrub.
  • Use lukewarm water.
  • The water will be brown going down the drain, this is expected and is normal.

Your First Rinse.

WHY: The rinse off time prevents “alligator skin”. If the tan sits too long, it could result in a dried out, cracked, tan. (Hence, “alligator”, not the bronze look we are going for.)

  • sweating
  • tight clothing
  • intimate time 😉

What To Avoid Before Your Rinse.

WHY: Before your first rinse your color is developing. Any of these will interrupt the process, or worse, completely ruin your new glow!

3

Pat dry after you rinse, and after every shower.

Pat, Pat, Pat.

WHY: Excessive, and harsh, rubbing from the towel will make your tan fade quicker. Instead, pat dry.

4

A moisturized tan, is a very happy tan!

Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize.

WHY: Keep the tan moisturized and crack free (with spray tan safe product) and your tan will continue to glow for days.

Stop using retinol 7 days before and after your tan.

5

WHY: Retinol can cause your tan to fade quicker.

Avoid Retinol.

Stay away from these Brands. Their products that can turn your tan green or fade unevenly.

6

Avoid The Bad List.

Use spray tan safe SPF products, avoid all spray sunscreen products.

7

Save it, Don't Spray it.

WHY: Spray sunscreens contain a high amount of alcohol, and it's not the good kind in your espresso martini.
